Courses and Workshops for TeachersThe Bringing the Best out in Boys course explores what motivates and de-motivates boys and gives teachers practical communication tools to improve boys’ performance. It provides strategies that reduce time spent managing difficult behaviour, improve cooperation in the classroom and create a positive learning environment. An INSET day covers:
The course is suitable for teachers, teacher managers, support assistants and lunchtime staff. A condensed version can be delivered as a twilight session. 'This is one of the best courses I have been on. Instead of dwelling on theory you’ve given us solutions we can go back and apply in the classroom.' Joy Andrews, Assistant Principal 'Working with you has really opened our eyes and changed our mindset. Effective Classroom Communication This course covers communication skills that set up a productive learning environment, get students’ co-operation, convey ideas in an interesting way, improve participation and increase self-esteem. By the end of the programme staff will have additional tools to deal with the day-to-day issues facing them as educators. | top of page | Some people are natural leaders; others find it hard to access their leadership qualities. We work with people to draw out their unique leadership style, show them how to connect with their own deeply held knowledge and value systems, and use these as a foundation to inspire others. | top of page | The most effective presentations are those in which the presenter talks simply and clearly from the heart, using whatever technology best supports his or her message. We show people how to be at their best in front of a group, and give them practical tools that help them use their individual strengths and the chosen technology to best effect. | top of page | Frustrations at work occur when it seems impossible to get ideas across to colleagues.
